California State Friendship Committee (CalSFC) was established in 1999 to strengthen California government, economic, business, cultural, and institutional connections, understanding and friendship across the world

  • CalSFC brings leaders, visionaries, innovators, and doers together to facilitate meaningful connections and support economic, business, intellectual, and policy growth and sustainability initiatives

  • CalSFC has hosted annual events, including meetings, receptions, and annual delegations of California government, business, and institutional leaders for an international visit to meet with counterparts during official meetings and cultural exchanges

  • Friendship ties established through in-person connection are the undisputed key to dissolving discord and building on our strengths, abilities, and to fostering a shared commitment solve challenges together to create the best world possible for all its inhabitants.

  • The true test of value has been the feedback received from past program attendees and the enthusiastic  interest for future event participation. It is especially noteworthy when international contacts that are established as part of the delegation visits result in beneficial future exchanges, business connections, and continuing relationships

  • California State Friendship Committee is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, founded in California in 1999 for the purposes of building global friendship, respect, understanding, and facilitating economic and scientific cooperation to address the world's biggest challenges

  • In the 25 years of existence, CalSFC has led hundreds of California leaders of government, business, and institutions, researchers, and entrepreneurs in delegation trips to international destinations.

    CalSFC has also hosted and connected leaders from other countries with California government officials, companies, and colleagues in various industries.

    Twenty-two international delegation trips have been conducted or hosted between California and other countries

    Multiple government, business, education, and institutional leaders and entrepreneurs have travelled as part of CalSFC delegation visit in multiple years
